I have produced a functional website using a range of techniques in order to have a successful user experience. Within the website I have areas that work well and those that need further improvement. The website needs a larger form of jQuery implemented in order to provide more interactivity the only forms of jQuery consist of the slider and the portfolio displays. The overall layout of the menu works at this time but as I build up my work I will need to develop different pages according to each type of work. The contact page is very dull, it has to much blank spaces therefore in order to fill it up I could implement the social networking websites for users to be directed to. It will be a form of filling out blank spaces without the need to use so much text. As part of the jQuery functionality I could have added an <iframe> with a Google map of where I am located along with my address just in case clients want to contact me by post. Within the portfolio page I will need to implement a scroll bar in order to be able to incorporate further projects without the need to create other pages and add further menus. Although I like the font style used I do believe that it will not appeal to as many users as a normal font style would. This is an area that I did not test during the user testing therefore the results are unreliable. Within the about page I felt that incorporating an image of myself would have been ideal for clients to see who I am. The page seems bland there is only text and some logo icons added, I need to add something more in order for the clients to want to read my information. Within the footer I added several links to pages, these links changed the colour of the text in some pages. Unfortunately I was unable to detect where the error was as it did not occur all the time. This is a main feature of adjustments that is needed. Overall I feel that I successfully built a website with the required information. Although I have only posted a limited amount of work but it's my best projects so far. I will continue to develop this website even after the project is due in, it is an important aspect of what I will use in the future when I am working.

User Testing
The user testing did not come about until the website was finished, this was a result of a restricted time frame as I spent too much time experimenting with various designs. Here I wanted to experiment with the functionality of the website and how well it works. I also wanted to test the design to see if it appeals to the audience or not.
Test:
- What do you think of the design?
- Do you like the colour scheme?
- Navigate through the various pages, are the labels correct?
- Navigate through the image slider, does it work accordingly?
- Enter some details in the contact form, does it let you insert information?
- Select various images and videos on the portfolio page, do they load?
Results:
3 participants took part in the user testing here they all completed each question/task the results are as follows:
The students liked the over design, they mentioned how the page was not clattered with information and how features were clearly displayed. The colour scheme was another popular attribute, the students like the grey, black and white combination. They mentioned how the minor sections in pink were not offputing, the use of a different colour made it easy to detect elements. The overall labelling of menus and sections was also clear, the students found it easy to navigate through the various pages. The contact form allowed the students to enter their information although the functionality does not fully work as the PHP section hadn't been incoporated accordingly. The different icons and links in the portfolio page load and overlay pop up although do to some of the size restrictions the loading of elements was delayed, this also had to do with the internet connection.
